Tom Young

Finance Director

Tom Young, after reading Russian at Oxford, qualified with Coopers & Lybrand, a top national firm of chartered accountants in London. He audited a typically wide range of clients ranging from large insurance companies to small manufacturers. After four years in the profession, he joined an American oil company, spending significant periods in exploration, production, refining and marketing. In 1988 he joined a family-owned manufacturing group of small and medium sized companies in the Southwest Midlands as group finance director.In subsequent years he gained wide experience with subsidiaries in Spain, Hong Kong and China. Tom acts as part time Financial Director to a number of small businesses in a variety of sectors.

As a boring accountant Tom has no outside interests or hobbies other than crocheting and advanced needlework.
