Cautious banks 'must start lending again'

Banks are slowing down Britains economic recovery by not lending, it was claimed.
The banks - some of which have beeen propped up with billions from the taxpayer - are displaying an extreme level of risk aversion' when lending to businesses and households, Bank of England governor Mervyn King said.
