Q: What types of businesses do you finance?

Q: Are you Business Link Approved?
A: Yes, we are accredited to Business Link’s National Consultants Register.
Q: Can you help me get funding under the Enterprise Finance Guarantee (EFG) scheme?
A: Yes, we are experts in utilising government backed funding schemes. The new EFG scheme applies to businesses with an annual turnover of up to £25m, seeking funding between £1000 to £1 million and payable over 10 years.
Q: Can I approach my bank direct or seek my accountant’s or IFA’s help in obtaining finance such as the EFG?
A: You can go directly to your bank or use your accountant or IFA, however, if you are eligible for the EFG scheme then we can write a business finance proposal that can persuasively demonstrate this to all of the participating banks. Typically, the proposal is written under the supervision of an ex bank manager who is experienced in understanding what the underwiters are looking for! Not surprisingly our success rate is around 95% on all debt applications.
Q: Can you help identify what grants and subsidies my business may be entitled to?
A: Yes, we have experts who are able to identify what grants and subsidies you might qualify for. They will help you put together all the documentation required and manage your application through to the funding stage.
Q: Can you obtain equity or business angel funding for my business?
A: In partnership with Beer and Partners we can raise business and angel finance for start ups and existing businesses. We also have significant experience of raising equity through VC funds nationally and internationally.
Q: Can you visit me at my home or business premises?
A: Yes, we are entirely flexible as to where we can meet with you. Some of our clients like us to visit them whilst others come to our offices.
Q: How much will I be charged for a consultation?
A: Your initial consultation is offered entirely free of charge.
Q: Will I have to pay a large upfront fee?
A:No our fees are mainly contingent on success with a modest commitment fee payable on engagement to cover the work involved in preparing a business finance proposal and marketing your project to funders.
Q: Will the loan funds or grant be paid to me or you?
A: Funding and grants are paid directly to you.
